Ever seen white residues on your clothes after washing and thought, "I've used too much detergent in that load!" .
Well, not necessarily…despite the evidence, the chances are that you've actually put too much washing in the load rather than too much detergent..
For the best possible results, there has to be enough water for the detergent to dissolve and enough space for your clothes to move around. Too much laundry will soak up all of the water, resulting in less water to completely dissolve the detergent.

Top Tip
Washing machine manufacturers actually recommend washing much smaller loads on non-cotton cycles to give more freedom of movement in the drum. Smaller loads will result in better cleaning.
Expert Tips
White streaks of powder left behind on your clothes? Due to undissolved powder caused by overloading your machine. This can be removed in a separate rinse cycle.
Getting permanent white marks or patches of discolouration on garments?
Occasionally overloading could cause permanent colour damage if you use a detergent containing bleach.
