Identifying the right detergent - Not all detergents are the same! Detergents are made up of many specialist ingredients - some have more of the best ingredients, like Ariel.

Bleach is designed to remove coloured stains as well as whitening dingy laundry, so it is best to use for your white loads only. All Liquids/Gels and Liquidtabs do not contain bleach, so they are great for coloured loads - especially the Colour & Style variants.

Enzymes are proteins that are very effective at breaking down food stains and residues. Non-Bio means no enzymes - it will still contain bleach if it is a Powder or Tablet.

Which form of detergent should I use?

Gels

Gels - Easy and convenient to use. They don't contain bleach and are great for washing coloured loads. Squeeze the gel into the dosing device and then place it on top of your load. Ariel Excel Gel was designed from scratch for outstanding cleaning for as low as 15°C. Great for a wide variety of stains such as chocolate, tomato sauce etc.

liquitabs

Liquitabs - Easy and convenient to use. They don't contain bleach and are great for washing coloured loads. Liquitabs should be placed on the bottom of the drum with the wash load on top. Great for greasy stains - for example, oils, makeup etc.

Liquids - Liquids dissolve particularly quickly. They are great for pre-treating directly onto stains, especially useful for those most difficult to remove. Great for greasy stains - for example, oils, makeup etc.

Tablets

Tablets - Easy and convenient to use. Ariel tablets have been developed to get to work from the start of the wash. They can be used in either the drawer or the drum. If you want to put them in the drum, you should place them in the bottom, at the back with the clothes on top.

Remember:

Expert Tips

Liquids

For best results with Ariel liquid use a dosing ball. Putting it on top of the load helps the ingredients to work right from the start.

Non Biological Detergents

Many people concerned about sensitive skin prefer to use Non Biological detergents such as Fairy
Non-Bio or Ariel Sensitive.
NON-BIO MEANS NO ENZYMES – it will still contain Bleach if it is a Non Bio Powder or Tablet!
